Bernard
Solco's collection of fine art prints is as exquisite
and unique as his paintings collection. It has become
his custom to create a matching serigraph edition for
each painting he has completed. By reproducing on paper
exact replicas of his paintings on a smaller scale he
actually "clones" the original but in a different format.
"I am fascinated with the concept of cloning. I have incorporated
this idea into my art and it is a way for me to keep the
images I have painted alive in many places at the same
time. It makes them immortal."
Each
print is hand pulled enamel on 100 percent rag, acid free,
museum quality paper. Limited editions are signed and
numbered in graphite. Editions are closed at 100 or lower
ensuring the value of each print. Artist's proofs are
also available and are closed at 25.
All
editions are printed by the artist and Alexander Henrici
in his studio in NYC. Henrici is a "Master Printer"
whose expertise was also utilized by Andy Warhol for the
Campbell's soup can series and other prominent artists
such as Roy Lichtenstein and Keith Haring.
Solco
has been commissioned to create numerous custom works
on paper from one of a kind prints and portraits to custom
editions, posters, and original graphite drawings. His
works on paper are in several prominent private and corporate
collections worldwide.
Bernard
Solco accepts commissions to create custom works on paper
and special editions. They are an excellent addition to
any existing art collection and make impressive gifts
